Here's my latest painting, 432 square inches of day-glo madness! I painted a selection of lures, and as you can see, the little blue fish is offering the freaking-out-muppet fish a diamond ring.
Awesome! The ring in the middle is a really cool idea. Is there any reason for it, any symbolism? Or is it just there just because?
I painted a picture called "Allure" last year with a similar combination of jewelry and fishing lures. In it I was kind of playing with the idea of catching things (lures catch fish, jewelry catches the male gaze). And this is sort of a sequel to that painting.
