Tilted Iris

I love this painting. For a while I wasn't sure. I rarely use a purple/yellow palette. Also I tried to present the iris in a nontraditional way, highlighting the strange, alien-like structures inside. After I had some time away from the picture and looked at it with fresh eyes, I was so pleased with its fluttery translucence.
